Advocare Scam

Advocare Scam:

Advocare ScamTime to Take a Good Look at Advocare & Di-sect this Biz So You Can Get The Facts…

Don’t like liars, scam artists, and marketers high as a kite on hype?

Well you’re not alone.

I don’t like them either, no more than kids don’t like getting carrot sticks on Halloween.

So let’s cut straight to the chase….

Advocare Scam

You’ve seen the life transforming business opportunity that Advocare provides, and now you want the stone cold truth.

You want Advocare raw and uncut.

Am I right?

Of course I am, because I’ve been on the other side of the computer where you are now.

I scoured the internet for hours, looking for authentic information on Advocare so I could make an educated decision whether or not is was for me.

What I found was a bunch of marketers who blew more smoke than the Marlboro Man….

So, instead of making wild promises of fame and fortune.

I’m going to give you the information that you’re really searching for.

So I can do this properly, let’s take a 3rd party definition of what a scam is from an accredited source.

According to Wikipedia (which is the 21st century’s version of Encyclopedia Britannica), the definition of a pyramid scheme is:

“A pyramid scheme is an unsustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public.”

So instead of me trying to convince you against there being an Advocare Scam.

Allow me to put on my lawyer hat and present my argument using only the facts and the definition above, so you can come up with your own verdict.

Sound Good?! Great, let’s begin….

Utilizing our definition of a pyramid scheme, let’s dig into the first part of it-an unsustainable business model.

According to the United States Bureau of Labor & Statistics, 95% of all businesses fail within their first 5 years.

And if you think that’s bad, it get’s worse.

Out of those 5% that actually do pull through and succeed, 95% of these businesses fail within the next 5 years.

That’s absolutely bonkers.

But don’t share these statistics with Advocare, because they’ve already kicked them to the curb.

This year, Advocare celebrated it’s 20th year in business.

1 more year and it can legally party across America!

Advocare was founded by Charlie Ragus in 1993 with the mission to transform people’s lives nutritionally and financially.

And 20 years later it has been recognized by the Direct Selling Association as being one of the most innovative companies on the planet.

How’s that for unsustainable?!

And though Advocare has experienced high levels of success, the company doesn’t sit back and relax on it’s laurels.

Nope. Their aim is for quicker and more efficient results for their customers and business partners.

So, they have employed the most world renowned experts in peak physical performance.

And as a result, Advocare is receiving recognition from the top professional athletes in the world today.

Here is a brief list of the best of the best athletes who endorse Advocare, because of the enhancement in their personal performance from the use of the products:

  • Drew Brees- Quarterback for the New Orleans Saints
  • Jason Witten- Tight End for the Dallas Cowboys
  • Austin Dillon- Nationwide Series Drive Car #3
  • Scott Baker- Pitcher for the Chicago Whitesox
  • Rachel Buehler- Defenseman For Women’s Soccer Team USA

That’s just a handful. Their are so many more.

So, before we move on, let’s recap a bit.

The highlights speak for themselves- 20 years in business, honored by the DSA for their most prestigious award, and a ton of endorsements by professional athletes.

Again, the decision on whether or not there is an Advocare Scam is up to you.

Time to call our next witness to the stand.

Advocare Compensation Plan

If we go back to our definition, participants of a pyramid scheme are paid by enrolling others.

Let me make this perfectly clear.

Not one single penny is paid to any Advocare Distributor unless a product is sold.

So let me break this down for you.

Let’s say Advocare Distributor Joe enrolls brand new Advocare Distributor Jane.

Joe gets a commission check with a big fat goose egg on it.

He gets nada unless Jane takes action and buys the products.

That is the ONLY way you will ever get paid.

So, now that we got that out of the way, let’s take a closer look at how you do get paid.

Allow me to introduce you to the 5 ways of cashing in with the Advocare Compensation Plan:

  1. Retail Commissions
  2. Wholesale Commissions
  3. Overrides
  4. Leadership Bonuses
  5. Incentives, Trips and Pay-Period Bonuses

Let’s start with good old numero uno.

Retail commissions are earned when you buy a product at wholesale and then sell it at retail.

This is similar to the way every retail store owner makes money. Cha-ching!

As an Advocare Distributor you get access to the entire product line at wholesale prices.

So, when you have a customer with their credit card out and ready to invest in transforming their body and performance.

You will get paid between a 20%-40% commission on the sale of each product depending on whether you are at the distributor level (20%-30%) or the Advisor level (40%).

Next we have wholesale commissions.

Now we’re venturing into the world of customers who order the products every month.

Just like Costco, Sams Club or BJ’s where you buy more and pay less.

With Advocare, customers who make the decision to invest in the products every month, get access to wholesale prices.

And as their referring Distributor, you will get a 20%-40% commission on the wholesale price of the product.

As we move on to overrides, let me make this point absolutely clear.

It is 100% optional to recruit distributors. Meaning it’s your choice whether you want to or not.

Just like a real estate agent who has the choice on whether or not they want to become a broker and hire real estate agents under them, you have a similar decision.

You can simply earn retail and wholesale commissions off of your product sales.

Or you can shift into business owner mode (Advisor), and partner with people who want to build a business predicated on helping customers achieve peak physical performance.

If you do choose the latter, you will earn 5%-7% commissions on your entire organization’s revenue.

And for those leaders who’s organizations pass a certain threshold of monthly volume, they will be rewarded with leadership bonuses that carry higher commission payouts.

Now let us not forget, that none of these paychecks earned are from the recruitment of others, but ONLY from the sales of products.

So, with all this talk about the products, let’s call them to the stand so they’re front and center.

Advocare Products

The Advocare product line is all about peak physical performance- aka looking good and feeling good.

And the endorsements of professional athletes speak volumes about the quality of these products, as well as their results.

So, let’s examine the product line that is tailored for anyone and everyone:

  • Trim- Solutions For Healthy Weight Management
  • Active- Vibrant Energy And On-The-Go Nutrition
  • Well- Nutrition For A Balanced And Healthy Lifestyle
  • Performance Elite- Advanced Sports Nutrition

There is literally something for everyone.

Whether you’re a stay at home mom or dad… a 9-5 corporate superstar… a fitness enthusiast… a professional athlete… or just a person who wants to lose weight and have more energy.

Advocare has products for you.

And for those of you who are looking to experience fast results with a lasting impact, Advocare issues you a 24 Day Challenge.

Not even Richard Simmons or Doctor Oz have produced the results and testimonials that this challenge has…..

For the first 10 days of the challenge, all of the toxins and impurities in your body will be released.

And this is when your internal systems will start working together like they were the Jackson 5 (old school shout out!).

As a result, over the remaining days, you will experience rapid weight loss.

And they even offer tools and products to help you maintain your healthy lifestyle.

No wonder why Advocare has the endorsements from the best of the best.

And now it’s time for closing arguments.

Advocare Review

So let me wrap this up for you and put a shiny red bow on it.

Advocare has been in business for 20 years, and is endorsed by professional athletes who are at the top of their game.

Commissions are only earned when the sale of a product is made.

And the products have produced more documented results than the self proclaimed weight loss experts out there.

That’s it. Enough said.

The decision is now in your hands. It’s for you to make, and you alone.

Like I said during my opening argument, I’m not here to persuade you for or against.

I’m here to deliver to you the FACTS and allow you to make a decision for yourself.

The choice is yours.

And if you see that Advocare gives you the opportunity to make money for helping others including yourself, look good and feel good, then click here, and let me show you how it’s possible.

I totally agree with you. Advocare provides the vehicle and the tools you just have to take it and work with it. You do not make money until you help other people make money its simple as that

Joanna Bostwick - March 20, 2015

I hear what your saying but do not agree. The investment to start this business is $79 and if you think that is a lot to invest to start your own business well, your mistaken. We do not have monthly minimums or are not forced to purchase any product if we do not want to. MANY people I know started with no money including myself and are now making enough money to support families, pay extra bills, or quit there job. You are right about an investment and that investment is hard work and time. Like any other business you have to work. Unfortunately a lot of people get into this thinking there is no work involved and those are the one’s who quit or get bitter and say it doesn’t work or it’s a scam etc.. But to say that a select few make ALL of the money is not completely accurate. We all start at the same spot on the same level playing field in this business. Some people build their business faster and larger than others but they don’t start at the Top! Just like most jobs, some will move “up the ladder” faster than others. In terms of Sharks, I’m also not competing with Sharks-the “Sharks” are investing their time and efforts into helping me be successful. I can’t speak for every direct sales company but our compensation plan is made up so that you must help others succeed if you want to succeed yourself. Look, you can either buy products from a major corporation with a CEO making most of the money or you can purchase products from distributors where your money is going into people lives directly and helping families all across America get OUT of debt not into it.

Great article. There’s no place for pyramid schemes in the health industry. Keep exposing the bad elements,,,

Also I think many bloggers are writing too much in a attempt to be convincing. I think writing too much means trying too hard. If a product is great, it sells itself. Take a look at Apple. They don’t do any adds on TV and they sell millions of phone. The only time they advertise on TV is when they come up with a new phone. They only advertise for a month and sell millions of phone in a few weeks. A good product speak for itself. Trying too hard makes the product look bad and the company look like a scam. Sometimes an efficient video that last 5 seconds is more efficient than a ad that last 5 minutes. Just saying.

guillaume - May 27, 2014

I never heard of a scam sponsoring a soccer team though. I think just the fact that the FC Dallas is sponsored by AdvoCare is clearly convincing that AdvoCare definitely not a scam at all. They are just terrible at making videos and advertising :-).

Guillaume - May 27, 2014

What makes Advocare look like a scam are the TERRIBLE videos. I have no idea who made them or whose voice it is on the the videos but the first second I look at them I don’t want to trust AdvoCare. The videos look like Tupperware infomercials, really. They need to work on looking more credible on the videos.

    Joanna Bostwick - May 28, 2014

Guillaume-I agree the videos need updating. I don’t have a lot of Advocare videos on my site for that reason. I’m actually working on real videos of real people right now for testimonies etc… Thanks for stopping by!

      Guillaume - May 28, 2014

Yes, I think making your own videos is the way to go. You are right. Videos are great because it is not so much about the words we say but the energy that we project to others. Energy is everything. It makes people feel good. Well, that’s what AdvoCare is about, right.

Solo - April 19, 2014

Why is it impossible for people to lose weight on their own? People feel it’s absolutely necessary to spend a ridiculous amount of money to be given a “diet plan” and flavored water.

Losing weight is really quite simple, especially once you get past the first couple of weeks of trying to not eat everything in sight. Count calories, do more. It’s so easy. And yes I’ve done it.. I lost 70 pounds ON MY OWN.. no help from any outside source.

Are people so willing to spend all this money because if they do, they are obligated to at least give it a shot? If so, then they’re probably not truly ready to lose weight. I’ll admit, I talked about losing weight for years before I finally did something about it. It’s kind of like smoking, you won’t quit until you REALLY want to.

It’s really no surprise that after people feel that they are done and stop using these “lose weight quick” products, a lot of them just gain most/all of it back.. even when they don’t eat as much as they used to before they lost the weight.

This is me speaking from personal experience: You’re much more likely to lose weight and KEEP IT OFF when you do it the legit way.

    Joanna Bostwick - April 19, 2014

Solo- First of all this is not a lose weight quick diet! This is a wellness program that helps people who are struggling to lose weight or have hit a plateau to reset their systems to function properly. A lot of people do not understand that it’s not just about eating less to lose weight. You can be thin and still be very unhealthy. What the 24 Day Challenge does is helps rid your body of the stored up toxins from improper eating and poor nutrition and them supplements your system with the proper nutrition your body needs to run efficiently. The bi product of this is weight loss. You are right about your comment that people will not lose weight until they are ready. I agree. But what I have also seen is that once people feel so much better from the right nutrition in their bodies they do not want to go back to the way they felt before which continues to motivate them as well. I applaud you for your weight loss and hope you have further success. Side note- There are 5 people on my current team that have lost over 100 lbs! For these people they will all tell you this program saved their life and yes they were motivated to lose it but this wellness program gave them the tools to get there.

Terry - February 4, 2014

This story brought to you by an Advocare distributor. Forgot that part.

    Joanna Bostwick - February 5, 2014

Thanks for your comment! Right.. I am an Advocare distributor but maybe like you was very skeptical of mlm businesses and Advocare in general. After much research I decided it was not a scam or pyramid scheme and mainly joined Advocare for there awesome products. hence the site and yes post…
