If you’ve thought at all about your income situation or your future, including retirement, you may be wondering how you can add more income into your life!
Of course there are a number of ways to do this but I really prefer network marketing and I’ll explain why below.
Why Network Marketing?
So if you had to think of the perfect job what would it be?
Most people would say this:
- no boss
- flexible schedule
- no income cap
- work with who I want to
- helping others
- good training
- great products or service
Well Network Marketing can incorporate all of these!
The above points may answer why network marketing is better than a “job”.
Although it’s not for everyone, network marketing can be an incredible opportunity if you can understand and implement a few things correctly.
In my video I will explain some of the pros and cons of Network Marketing and how to look for the right company.
Get started with me and let me help you meet your goals!
Why Join a Network Marketing Company
Here are some statistics I believe are important for people to understand when thinking about joining a network marketing company.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics
Out of 100 people that start working at the age of 25, by the age of 65
- 1 is wealthy
- 4 have enough money to retire
- 63 depend on social security or charity
- 29 are deceased
So 95% of people 65 and over can not afford to retire and work until they die!
Kind of grim statistics if I do say so myself….
I’m in my mid 40’s and watching my parents continue to work past the age of 65 has been an eye opener for me.
No longer are the days of working for the same company for many years and retiring with a healthy 401K and living the glory years on the beach.
So how can Network Marketing help you?
With the network marketing profession you can leverage your Time and Money.
What does this mean exactly?
The work you put into your business upfront can pay you many years to come residual income.
Your time will work in your favor as you sponsor other people and their time is multiplied the more people you have working in your organization the more your time is being leveraged.
For most people right now you get paid an hourly wage or a salary depending on what your boss thinks your worth is as an employee.
With Network Marketing, other people’s time and efforts help compound with yours and what I love is your goal is to help others succeed so you can succeed as well.
In this business if your not helping others meet their goals you won’t meet your goals!
It has to be a win win for this to work.
I think a lot of people have the misconception that you can sign up one person, sit back and do nothing and the cash will start rolling in.
This is just not true.
But…If you help enough people get what they want you will get what you want in return and I like that business model.
I believe in helping others which is what attracted me to this industry.
Because the start up cost is so reasonable, you don’t have the huge investment you would starting a typical small business.
Technology and Network Marketing
Before the internet Network Marketing looked way different.
Here are a few things that have changed thanks to technology.
- you no longer have to store products if you don’t want to-the company can ship the products directly to your customers you don’t even have to handle it if you don’t want to.
- Most companies have an online site or store that you get upon enrollment so people can go straight to your site and see your products or services instead of mailing them catalogs or brochures.
- Companies keep track of sales and record your sales information including your paychecks which helps with accounting or manually keeping track of receipts.
- You can advertise your business on social media or a website to get more exposure out there and expand your reach for customers and new distributors
- By using email, texting, and private messaging, you have more ways to connect and contact your customers or team.
- Training’s can be done online through webinars, skype, or videos
So What are Some Things You Need to be Successful in Network Marketing?
Treat Network Marketing Like a Business
This is probably one of the biggest mistakes most network marketers make when it come to starting their business.
They don’t see it as a “real” business but more like a hobby or something they will try out for a few months.
There is nothing wrong with people who do this by the way.
The only thing I’m saying is that you can’t expect to get paychecks if it’s a hobby and you need to understand that up front.
There are a few things that I know I had to understand myself before really taking this profession seriously and you may be the same way.
- I needed to understand the industry and believe in the business model
- I needed to believe in my company and it’s products
- I needed to see the success of others to realize it’s possible
- I needed to trust my mentors and what they were teaching me
- I needed to believe in myself!
Once I had a grasp on these things I began really taking this business seriously and treating it like one.
Work Consistently on Your Business
If you work a little here and there and then stop, your not going to see great results.
If you want to be taken seriously in network marketing you also need to stick with it and stay consistent with your outreach, training, and customer service.
If your doing any kind of social media with your business that must be consistent as well.
It’s important to post things every day if you can.
If you get overwhelmed with too many social media outlets then narrow it down to 1-2 and get really good at those.
Don’t Quit Your Network Marketing Business
I see this a lot with people.
Look I’ll be real honest here… most people in this industry have thought about quitting at one point or another.
There are days I have felt like quitting myself BUT I remind myself why I started and that continuing the work will only bring results.
Quitting too soon is something that people do but I wish for their sake they wouldn’t.
I can’t tell you how many people I talked to years ago have been watching me and are now coming around to doing the business.
If I would have quit they would have moved on to another distributor.
So moral here is DON’T QUIT!!
Personal Development to Up Your Game
Ok how many times have you heard this from major mlm leaders??
You have to work on yourself before you can become the leader you need to be to grow a large organization.
It’s true and I’m still a work in progress!
I decided to take this seriously in August 2015 and my income has just about doubled since then.
I think part of it is helping you BELIEVE in YOURSELF!
Which I will admit was hard for me at first. I wasn’t sure if I could do this gig.
But the other important take away is the personal development help you become better and helps you attract better leaders who will take off on your team.
I am at all times reading at least one book sometimes 2-3 on audible.
Just finished Go for No! by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz.
I am currently listening to The Success Principles by Jack Canfield.
I love Eric Worre and watch his videos on his site as well.
I also am a member of other high level training’s one in particular that has taught me a lot is a social media training by million dollar earner Hayley Hobson.
Anyway- keep learning as much as you can from great leaders and that will help you go far!
I hope this post gave you some insight on what network marketing is and Why Network Marketing could be great for you!
